In a tight game between the Alaskan Bush Pilots and the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, pitcher Edward Woods was terrific on the mound. The Alaskan right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Woods picked up the win for Alaskan, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. Steven Boon, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2058 draft, earned the save for Alaskan.
In the top of the ninth, Tekukuni Aukake stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Hobeaus were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Steven Boon made a terrific pitch and Aukake grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Smoky Mountain comeback.
