Holy City right-hander Joseph Sankey pitched his team to victory over the Pontiac Godfathers at Mango Yard. The final score was 5-2. Mark Lee closed it out for his 10th save. Holy City now sports a record of 32-27.
The Godfathers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Herons going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old second baseman Allen Harris came to the plate. Harris hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Pontiac hurler José Sandoval. It was Harris's 11th double of the year.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Harris.
