Gallardo Socks 2 Home Runs in 6-3 Yucca Valley Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Yucca Valley Yellows and Grim Reapers.

The 6-3 Yucca Valley win over Grim was due largely to José Gallardo. The Yellows designated hitter slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Luis Torrez was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was Graeme Boucher. Daniel Valdés earned the save, his 6th, for the Yellows.

Garry Brown had a big 3-run home run for the Yellows in the bottom of the third inning. With Yucca Valley trailing 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Graeme Boucher, who is tied for 4th in the SA with a 9.1 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yellows ahead, 4-3.

"We did a lot of things right," said Gallardo.

The Yellows improved their record to 34-25 by beating Grim.
