The Grim Reapers had to overcome a good performance from Yucca Valley pitcher Curt Pollock to claim a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Pollock went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Grim is 22-38 and Yucca Valley, with the loss, 34-26.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With one out, José Medina hit a 0-2 curveball from Dermot Bibby for a run-scoring single. It put Grim in front, 3-2.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Yucca Valley manager Ernest Orr, "let me know."
