Godfathers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Yellows
|
The Pontiac Godfathers picked up a win at Pontiac Copperdome, knocking off the Yucca Valley Yellows, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Pontiac was right-hander José Morán. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The 7th-place Godfathers go to 28-33.
Pontiac got a clutch hit from Ted Tribe. The shortstop launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Morán.
