Carter, Blue Dragons Get 3-1 Win
|
Myron Carter, who is tied for 2nd in the SA in quality starts with 10, imposed his will on the River Rats from the get-go. Relying mainly on his forkball, the left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 Levittown triumph. Earning his 13th save for Levittown was Mario Salas. Levittown occupies last place in the Silver A at 23-39.
Carter made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Levittown left-hander encountered little resistance from the Columbia hitters. His season record is now 5-6.
"Myron's fastball had teeth on it," said Levittown manager Nees Bogermans.
