The Walla Walla Walleye spoiled a good performance by Grim left fielder Dan Mowat, bumping off Grim, 9-4, at Walleye Tank. Mowat went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times. At 41-21, the Walleye have a slim two-game lead in the Silver A.

The Walleye got a big hit from second baseman Luis González. Facing Grim pitcher Juan Torres in the bottom of the fifth, González pounded a 2-run double to left-center. His 3rd double of the season put the Walleye ahead, 3-2.

"We maximized our offense today," said Walla Walla skipper Félix Cruz. "That makes everyone's life easier."
