Montgomery Swings River Rats to 7-0 Win
|
Robert Montgomery knocked in 3 runs to help Columbia beat Levittown, 7-0. The Paradise, California native tallied 1 single and 2 home runs. Roy Harris got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. The win puts the River Rats at 35-28, while the Blue Dragons drop to 23-40.
Montgomery made an early impact for Columbia when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which came in the top of the third, put the River Rats on top, 2-0.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Montgomery.
