Loss Diminishes Fine Performance by Rojas
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus withstood an impressive performance by Yucca Valley shortstop Raúl Rojas to defeat the Yellows, 8-5, at Smokies Stadium. Rojas was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Luis Quiñones earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Smoky Mountain bumps their record to 34-29 with the win.

Brad O'Herlihy contributed to the Smoky Mountain win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
