Caterpillars Mow Down Godfathers, 9-1
|
Grand Forks starter Ryan Ward kept the Pontiac hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 9-1. The Caterpillars sit in 6th place in the Silver A with a record of 31-35.
In the top of the fourth, with Grand Forks leading 3-1, Javier Romero hit a changeup from Ming-hoa Meng for a run-scoring single, giving the Caterpillars the lead, 4-1.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Pontiac manager John Moss. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
