The Walla Walla Walleye had to weather a strong performance from Holy City pitcher Phil Monroe before claiming a 2-1 win in 10 innings. Monroe went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Randall Larkin snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 3.2 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. At 23-43, the Walleye are currently last in the Silver A.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ray Bradley in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Tommy Alderdice to win the game for Walla Walla. The home crowd went nuts.

"There's no quit in this team," said Walleye manager Calvin Beck.
