Caterpillars Fall Short, 3-2, at Holy City
Holy City Herons starter Jimmy Cooper found his groove in his team's 3-2 win over the Grand Forks Caterpillars. Cooper got the win, improving to 2-3. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Fred Ducklow collected his 7th save.

The Caterpillars had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Herons going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old catcher Evan Bryant came to the plate. Bryant hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 fastball from Grand Forks hurler Iván Trevizo. It was Bryant's 7th double of the year.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Herons manager Ralph Horn.

Holy City is 7th in the Silver A with a record of 31-36.
