Smoky Mountain Earns 3-2 Win
|
Smoky Mountain starter Bob Bradley pitched well against the Philadelphia Liberty U-24 at Smokies Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2, in 11 innings. The winning continues for Smoky Mountain, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.
The Hobeaus got a clutch hit from second baseman Bob Lawrence. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hobeaus.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Bradley said.
