Hobeaus Beat Myrtle Beach, 3-2

The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, taking down the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Smoky Mountain was right-hander Juan Cervantes. He played a central role in the triumph. Nam-shik Yi was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Odwin Von Heezik. Smoky Mountain goes to 26-45, Myrtle Beach to 48-23.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Smoky Mountain first baseman Charles Drunk, facing Cisco Rodríguez, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Hobeaus the 3-2 win.
"Tough loss," said Myrtle Beach manager Clay Myers. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
