Dale Helps Reapers Defeat Godfathers, 6-4
|
Led by Willie Dale, the Grim Reapers defeated the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-4. Dale, a native of Panama City Beach, Florida, was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Reapers. Mike Parkinson, credited with the save, is now 11 for 13 in save opportunities. The loss makes Pontiac 31-41.
With the game tied, 4-4, in the top of the sixth, Dale had a key at-bat for Grim. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Dale hit a 2-run single off Arthur Tidwell, making the score 6-4, Reapers.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Reapers manager Arnold Magowan. "This one was nice to get."
