Holy City Gets 2-1 Win
Holy City and Yucca Valley played a hard-fought contest.

Francisco García pitched well, but the Yucca Valley Yellows still lost the game, falling, 2-1, to the Holy City Herons at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Juan Morales notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-0.

The Yellows had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Herons going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old shortstop Matthew Cameron came to the plate. Cameron hit a solo home run on a 1-0 fastball from Yucca Valley hurler Francisco García. It was Cameron's 11th home run of the year.

Cameron told a Holy City Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

Yucca Valley's current losing streak is now 4 games.
