Bush Pilots Earn 7-6 Win Versus River Rats
The Alaskan Bush Pilots defeated the Columbia River Rats, 7-6, in USSL Single A action at Columbia Stadium. Alaskan pitcher Rafael Cruz had a standout performance. Getting the save was Leonard Dennis, his 4th. Alaskan is in 6th place in the Silver A with a record of 37-38.

In the top of the ninth, Carlos MacKnight, who is tied for 9th in the SA in triples with 2, delivered for Alaskan. That's when he belted a 2-run home run, putting the Bush Pilots up, 7-6. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Cruz.
