The Monroeville Yinzers went home winners at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Matthew Brown. Brown stifled the Grim Reapers, enabling Monroeville to grab the 2-0 win. The Yinzers sport a record of 27-49.

The Reapers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Yinzers going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old catcher Félix Benture came to the plate. Benture hit a solo home run on a full count fastball from Grim hurler Julien Parmentier. It was Benture's 4th home run of the year.

"Makes our job easier," said Benture, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
