Garcia Hits 2 home runs in Godfathers Win
|
The Pontiac Godfathers beat the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 3-2, at Pontiac Copperdome. Grégory Garcia starred for Pontiac. He slugged 2 home runs. The 8th-place Godfathers improved to 33-43.
Pontiac took a 3-1 lead on Garcia's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Wayne Hughes in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Pontiac to the win.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Godfathers manager John Moss.
