Huntington Earns 3-2 Win
|
Getting a good performance from left fielder Nick Tobías, the Huntington Hermit Crabs defeated the Pontiac Godfathers, 3-2. Tobías slugged 2 home runs for the Hermit Crabs. Derek MacIntosh locked down his 12th save. Huntington is now 33-44, while Pontiac is 33-44.
Ted Cunningham chipped in for Huntington, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a double.
In postgame comments to the Huntington Herald, Cunningham said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
