Godfathers Come Back Late to Clip Hermit Crabs
|
The Pontiac Godfathers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Noel Sharp, who muffled the Huntington offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Godfathers win at Pontiac Copperdome. The winning pitcher was Sharp, now 3-3. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. The setback makes Huntington 33-45.
Hong-yeol Cho took Huntington hurler Logan Waycott deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Godfathers on top, 2-1. In all, Cho had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
Cho called the win "a collective effort."
