Yinzers Win 3-2 Walk-Off
|
The Monroeville Yinzers downed the Yucca Valley Yellows, 3-2, in 10 innings at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Dae-sung Pak led the way, going 3-for-4 for Monroeville. Doug Kellar, now 5-4, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Monroeville, now 51-27, holds down first place in the Silver A.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Pak hit a fastball from Jing-yu Xú for a run-scoring single. The Yinzers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We didn't let this one get away," said Pak.
