Caterpillars Defeat Reapers in 10
The Grand Forks Caterpillars beat the Grim Reapers, 5-3 -- though it took them 10 innings. Grand Forks shortstop Elías Carnascialli had a pretty good game. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Denie Vogelsang earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 2-2. Ramón Santos collected his 3rd save.

Carnascialli had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Lau-po Cuan, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Caterpillars a 5-2 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Carnascialli.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Carnascialli.

Grand Forks is now 41-39.
