Yinzers Deal Yucca Valley 6-0 Defeat

The Yucca Valley Yellows had their hands full with Monroeville Yinzers starter Robert Martin, who frustrated Yucca Valley hitters while leading Monroeville to a comfortable, 6-0 win. The Yinzers, at 30-51, sit in last place in the Silver A.
Reed Francis, who leads the SA with a .313 batting average, took Yucca Valley hurler Richard Fernández deep in the top of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Yinzers on top, 3-0. In all, Francis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Yucca Valley manager Ernest Orr.
