The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 picked up a win at Ballpark of Yucca Valley, downing the Yucca Valley Yellows, 6-3. On the mound for Philadelphia was right-hander Chad May, who played a pivotal role in the win. After today's action, Philadelphia sits at 40-41, while Yucca Valley falls to 42-39.

Philadelphia used a clutch hit from Greg Fuentes to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Liberty U-24 ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"When Chad is on, he can really move the ball around," said Philadelphia manager Dan Fletcher.
