|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Alaskan Bush Pilots and Monroeville Yinzers.
Led by Grady McCarty, the Alaskan Bush Pilots downed the Monroeville Yinzers, 7-3. McCarty went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs for the Bush Pilots. Chris Waters picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-5. He struck out 2 in 6 innings. Sergio Delgado wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.
Alaskan used the hitting of Ray Richardson to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Bush Pilots on top, 4-0. For the game, Richardson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," McCarty said in reaction to the win.
