Auno Toivola, who is tied for 2nd in the SA with a 8.8 K/9 rate, imposed his will on the Herons from the get-go. Relying mainly on his cutter, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Grand Forks triumph. The winner was Toivola. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jimmy Cooper.
