Airmen Lose to Hawks in Walk Off
|
Alameda pitcher Bill MacNeill gave the Hawks all they could handle, but in the end, Laredo left Hawks Field with a win, 2-1. MacNeill allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 6 innings. The win was credited to Éric Lemaire in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Michael Crossan took the loss. Laredo's record now stands at 47-36, placing them 4th in the Silver A.
In the bottom of the 11th, Miles Vlaminks had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to center off Alameda pitcher Michael Crossan.
"We did just enough to win," Vlaminks said.
