Hermit Crabs Pin 5-3 Loss on Grim
|
The Huntington Hermit Crabs topped the Grim Reapers, 5-3, in USSL Single A action at The Coffin. The standout performance belonged to Huntington pitcher and Uniondale, New York, native César Contreras. In 6.2 innings, Contreras surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The Reapers, now 29-54, have lost 4 straight.
In the top of the second, 22-year old shortstop Wyatt Hathaway hit a 2-run home run. The 6th home run of the season for the Huntington third baseman put the Hermit Crabs on top, 2-0.
