The Monroeville Yinzers picked up a win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, dropping the Holy City Herons, 8-3. Pete Costa was the difference-maker. Costa yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-0. The Silver A-leading Yinzers are 54-29.

Reed Francis had a big 2-run triple for the Yinzers in the bottom of the third inning. With Monroeville leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Martin Humphrey and swatted a triple to right. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yinzers ahead, 3-0.
