The 5-3 Monroeville win over Holy City was due largely to Peter Sanders. The Yinzers designated hitter was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Monroeville pitcher Robert Martin got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Etienne de Ruijter got the loss. Monroeville, at 55-29, is 8 games up in the Silver A.

With Monroeville leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Sanders hit a cutter from Etienne de Ruijter for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Yinzers ahead, 3-0.
