The Huntington Hermit Crabs picked up a win at The Shell, knocking off the Philadelphia Liberty U-24, 4-2. Starting pitcher Miguel López played a key role in the triumph. López, the winner, moves to 11-8. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Derek MacIntosh closed out the game, earning his 15th save.

Cisco Alvarado dealt the Liberty U-24 a blow in the bottom of the seventh. Batting with the bases loaded and Huntington leading 3-2, Alvarado, who is tied for 3rd in the SA with a .385 on-base percentage, hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Miguel's a gamer," said Huntington manager Vincent Cruz. "Glad he's on our side."

Huntington, at 37-48, occupies 8th place in the Silver A.
