The Walla Walla Walleye locked up a win at Walleye Tank, knocking off the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 3-0. On the mound for Walla Walla was left-hander Matt Bradshaw. He played a major role in the triumph. Bradshaw yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 11-1. The Walleye lead the Silver A by 5 games.
The Walleye got a big at-bat from center fielder Juan Barajas. For the game, Barajas was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Walla Walla a 2-0 lead.
Barajas said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
