The Monroeville Yinzers beat the Columbia River Rats, 3-1, at Columbia Stadium. Starting pitcher Doug Kellar was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Monroeville has now won 3 straight, while the River Rats have lost 3 in a row.

Chris Blanchard, who is tied for 5th in the SA in bases on balls with 30, had a direct impact on the outcome. Blanchard contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Monroeville up, 2-0.
