Blue Dragons Drop 5-1 Decision to Bush Pilots
The exploits of third baseman Jeff Godfrey, who is tied for 8th in the SA in runs scored with 41, helped the Alaskan Bush Pilots defeat the Levittown Blue Dragons, 5-1. Godfrey went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win, the Bush Pilots sit at 44-42.

Tied up with the Blue Dragons in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Bush Pilots got a boost from first baseman Kurt Smith. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Smith saw a 1-2 changeup from Lee Kennedy and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Alaskan on top, 1-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Tony Sánchez.
