Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Yellows
Yucca Valley starter Francisco García put a stranglehold on the Holy City offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Yellows to a 3-0 win. The winning pitcher was García, now 10-5. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Dermot Bibby notched his 4th save in 4 chances.

Yucca Valley used the clutch hitting of Bill Fisher to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Yellows ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"It was a good effort all around," said Fisher.

The 4th-place Yellows have a record of 46-41.
