Bush Pilots Fall to Blue Dragons Late
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons licked the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 5-3. Chris Thomas deserved a big chunk of the credit. The third baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Blue Dragons. Gabriel Reyes earned the win for Levittown. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 6-9. Chris McElroy closed out the game, earning his 10th save.
Levittown used the timely hitting of Ricardo Rodríguez to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Dragons on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I do my best to contribute," said Rodríguez.
The Blue Dragons now own a record of 42-45.
