The home crowd had a good time watching the Mancelona Torch and Pontiac Godfathers get after it.

Jorge Cruz impressed in the 9-5 Pontiac win over Mancelona. Cruz was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The last-place Torch dropped to 27-61.

Nicol Stolk had a big 3-run home run for the Godfathers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Pontiac trailing 4-3 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Walt Jackson and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Godfathers ahead, 6-4.

"Feels good to get the job done," Cruz said after the game.
