Grim Hot Streak Continues with 6-3 Win
|
The timely hitting of Michinori Nakamura helped the Grim Reapers down the Holy City Herons, 6-3. Nakamura went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Reapers. Rafael Balita got the save, his 23rd in 27 chances. The win elevated the Reapers to 49-39.
With Grim trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Nakamura hit a fastball from Dylan Boyd for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Reapers ahead, 4-1.
"The guys come to the ballpark ready," said Reapers manager Arnold Magowan. "They're going out there and doing the simple things right."
