No one was more impactful than Aldred Shelton in the 8-4 Huntington win over Holy City. Shelton was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Herons have now dropped 6 straight.
With Huntington leading 4-2 in the top of the sixth, Shelton hit a knuckle curve from Joseph Sankey for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Hermit Crabs ahead, 7-2.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Holy City manager Ralph Horn.
