Liberty U-24 Pull Out Late-Game Win, 9-8
The 9-8 Philadelphia win over Put-In-Bay was due in large part to Vanni Perkins. The Liberty U-24 third baseman went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Philadelphia reliever Fred Briggs picked up the win to move to 3-2. Cam Stone suffered the loss. The win makes Philadelphia 42-46.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Philadelphia. That's when Erik Limond hit a solo home run off 20-year old left-handed pitcher Cam Stone to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Perkins said.
