The Walla Walla Walleye trumped the Yucca Valley Yellows, 5-1, at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Walla Walla second baseman Luis González was terrific. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Silver A-leading Walleye are 58-31.

Walla Walla used the hitting of Francisco Sánchez to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Walleye on top, 4-0. For the game, Sánchez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Sánchez said after the game.
