The Huntington Hermit Crabs defeated the Holy City Herons, 6-2. Shortstop Wyatt Hathaway deserved a large share of the credit. Hathaway went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Hermit Crabs. Miguel López got the win, improving to 12-8. He held the Herons to 2 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Holy City is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.

Huntington took the lead in the top of the fifth when Hathaway hit a grand slam home run. His 8th home run of the season made the score 6-2, Huntington.

"When you're losing, the game looks more difficult to play than it is," said Holy City manager Ralph Horn.
