Extra-Inning Win by Herons Over Reapers
Led by Dewitt Kennedy, the Holy City Herons defeated the Grim Reapers, 9-5, in 10 innings. Kennedy went 1-1 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Herons. Marcos Cardova picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-4. Jeff MacFadden, who is tied for 5th in the SA in holds with 5, was tagged with the loss. Holy City leads the Silver A by 3½ games.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the tenth, with the game tied, Nathaniel Heath was at the plate when Holy City scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Herons to go in front, 6-5.

Kennedy said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
