Reapers Beat Herons, 6-4

The Grim Reapers beat the Holy City Herons, 6-4, at The Coffin. The Reapers got a fine performance from shortstop Jim Giles, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. António Cabrera, 1-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. The 9th-place Reapers improved to 35-55.
With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning, third baseman Michinori Nakamura delivered big for the Reapers. Grim was trailing 4-1 when he belted a 3-run home run.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Giles.
