Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Pontiac Godfathers and Holy City Herons.

The Pontiac Godfathers went home winners at Pontiac Copperdome, thanks in large part to starter José Sandoval. Sandoval stifled the Holy City Herons, enabling Pontiac to grab the 1-0 win. Corey Robinson notched his 5th save in 7 chances.

Vernon Bryant drew 1 walk for Pontiac. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ralph Fryfogle. It was his 15th walk of the season.

"José is good at sticking to his strengths," said Pontiac manager John Moss.

The losses continue to pile up for Holy City, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
