Castro slugs 2 home runs to Fuel Hobeaus Offense
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 21-year old center fielder Héctor Castro helped the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus beat the Columbia River Rats, 6-1. Vincente Ramos got the win, improving to 7-4. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 10 and walking 4. Smoky Mountain raised its record to 51-41 with the win.
In the bottom of the second inning, left fielder Reginald Parker had a 2-run home run for Smoky Mountain. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Hobeaus on top, 2-0.
"Right now, things are falling our way," said Smoky Mountain manager Gianni Martin.
