The Put-In-Bay Commodores went down to defeat to Jeff McElroy and his Monroeville teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Yinzers. The win elevated the Yinzers to 47-45.

Monroeville used a clutch hit from Bartolo Flores to snatch the win. The right fielder belted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Yinzers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"I felt good up there," said Flores. "I saw the ball well."
