Alaskan Bush Pilots pitcher Whip Linkletter was in top form, leading his team past the Walla Walla Walleye, 3-1. Alaskan raised its record to 48-45 with the win.

Alaskan used a timely hit from Mike Brown to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bush Pilots ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

"Whip was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Alaskan manager Arturo Montáñez.
