Pontiac Wins, 4-3, Behind 2 Clapsaddle Home Runs
|
Pontiac beat Myrtle Beach at Pontiac Copperdome, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Bill Clapsaddle. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win makes Pontiac 41-53.
Clapsaddle had a timely hit for Pontiac in the bottom of the seventh. With Pontiac trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-1 splitter into a 2-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season, making it 4-3, Pontiac.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Clapsaddle.
