Hobeaus Prevail, 5-3, Over Monroeville
|
The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus picked up a win at Smokies Stadium, knocking off the Monroeville Yinzers, 5-3. On the mound for Smoky Mountain was right-hander Bob Bradley. He played a key role in the triumph. Bradley picked up the win for Smoky Mountain, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 9-5. Gijsbert Arents earned the save, his 4th, for the Hobeaus.
John Hines chipped in a 2-run home run for Smoky Mountain in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Hines said after the game.
