The Smoky Mountain Hobeaus topped the Grim Reapers, 4-2, in USSL Single A action at The Coffin. The game was highlighted by the performance of Smoky Mountain pitcher Alonso Romero. Smoky Mountain, with the win, sits at 18-76.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Chris Miller came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Grim pitcher Mike O'Day, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Smoky Mountain on top, 3-2.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Grim skipper Arnold Magowan, "and it cost us."
