Seahawks Tack 3-1 Loss on Pontiac
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks beat the Pontiac Godfathers, 3-1, at Pontiac Copperdome. Starting pitcher John Bell was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The Silver A-leading Seahawks have a record of 64-31.
Myrtle Beach used a clutch at-bat from Lambert de Koning to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Seahawks ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said de Koning, "and then get after it again."
