Torch Best Caterpillars in Pitching Duel
|
The Mancelona Torch got a magnificent performance from pitcher Lloyd McGlory, who muffled the Grand Forks offense en route to a tight, 2-0 Torch win at Torch Field. The save went to Jack Jones, his 8th this season. Mancelona, with the win, is 30-65.
Carlos Solís had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Mancelona. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Mancelona in front, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McGlory told the Mancelona Bulletin.
